7.35

又按七十三，計義自性等五種差別者。初義自性，有四差別，即前所引計能、所取等四種是也。二、名自性，即前所引差、無差別二名是也。三、染自性，謂計此色有貪、嗔、癡，不能遠離貪、瞋、癡繫，又與一切善不相應。計餘蘊等，亦復如是。四、淨自性，反染應知。五、非染淨，但計諸法是能、所取。

Furthermore, according to fascicle seventy-three, regarding the five varieties of conceptualizing the intrinsic nature of the referent and so on: First, conceptualizing the intrinsic nature of the referent has four varieties, which are precisely the four kinds cited above—conceptualizing the grasper, the grasped, and so forth. Second, [conceptualizing] the intrinsic nature of the name is precisely the two names cited above, distinct and indistinct. Third, [conceptualizing] the defiled intrinsic nature refers to conceptualizing this form as possessing greed, anger, and ignorance, being unable to escape the bonds of greed, anger, and ignorance, and moreover not being associated with any wholesome [qualities]; conceptualizing the remaining aggregates and so forth is likewise. Fourth, [conceptualizing] the pure intrinsic nature should be understood as the reverse of the defiled. Fifth, [conceptualizing] neither the defiled nor the pure refers merely to conceptualizing phenomena as grasper and grasped.
