One interpretation: The substance of the five faculties itself is called "possessing faculties"; there is no separate possessor. Just as in the expression "possessing form", although the physical bases and so forth are not themselves faculties, because they are capable of possessing faculties they are also called "possessing faculties". Because the faculties and that which possesses faculties are assembled and accumulated, it is called "body".
