3.27

If the causal seed is in ceasing and the fruitional seed is in arising, then like seed and active, they ought to be termed 'coexisting with the fruit'. Even if so, what fault is there? If so, what difference would there ultimately be between a seed producing an active [dharma] and an active [dharma] producing a seed? Because both would coexist with their fruits. Thus the Commentary concludes by asking, what is the point of discrimination? Furthermore, it contradicts the Yogācārabhūmi.
