述曰：此中總釋頌之大綱，總逐外人，義如前說，然無比量，若為共因，比量亦得。量云：此獄卒等物皆不離識等；許所知故；如心、心所。真如等法不離識有，無不定失。

The Commentary says: Here, the general outline of the verse is explained in full, generally pressing the opponent, the meaning being as stated earlier. However, there is no formal inference given; if one makes a common reason, a formal inference can also be constructed. The formal inference is: Things such as these hell-wardens are all not separate from consciousness; because they are admitted to be objects of knowledge; just like the mind and mental factors. Phenomena such as tathatā are not separate from consciousness, so there is no fallacy of inconclusiveness.
