外人伏問：既爾，夢心為睡所壞，覺心不爾，何不夢位由眠所壞，其境實無，覺境便有？復由此理，當果異耶？
The opponent secretly asks: If so, and the dream mind is impaired by sleep while the waking mind is not, why is it not that because of being impaired by sleep in the dream state its objects are truly non-existent, whereas waking objects are existent? And would it not be by this principle that future results differ?
