2.310

佛言：長者云何乃說身、口罰重，心罰最輕？長者理屈，乞為弟子，乃至得果。自立誓言：我所住處，常擬供養三寶，一切尼乾，悉不得入我家。

The Buddha said: "Householder, why then do you say that bodily and verbal punishment are heavy, and mental punishment is lightest?" The householder's reasoning was defeated; he begged to become a disciple, and ultimately attained the fruit. He took a vow himself: "Wherever I dwell, I intend to always make offerings to the Three Jewels, and no Nirgrantha whatsoever shall enter my home."
