又大等六字，是所詮故勝；論是能詮，唯教故劣。將劣就勝，以勝顯劣，云大乘百法明門之論，依主釋也（亦可謂帶數依主）。

Furthermore, the six characters starting with "Great" are superior because they are the signified content; "treatise" is inferior because it is the expressive capacity, consisting only of teaching. Subordinating the inferior to the superior to reveal the inferior by means of the superior, saying "the treatise of the Gateway to Understanding the Hundred Dharmas of the Mahāyāna," is a tatpuruṣa compound (it can also be called a numeral-bearing tatpuruṣa).
