Fourth, the analysis by three natures: the three natures are wholesome, unwholesome, and indeterminate. Among the fifty-one caitta-dharmas, fourteen are common to the three natures; the fourteen are the five sarvatragas, five viniyatas, and four aniyatas. Sixteen are common to two natures, the two natures being the unwholesome nature and the indeterminate nature; the sixteen are rāga, māna, vicikitsā, avidyā, and improper view among the kleśas; and eleven among the upakleśas, namely śāṭhya, māyā, mada, styāna, auddhatya, āśraddhya, kausīdya, pramāda, muṣitasmṛtitā, vikṣepa, and asamprajanya. Twenty-one belong to only one nature: the eleven kuśalas are exclusively of the wholesome nature; pratigha, krodha, upanāha, mrakṣa, pradāsa, īrṣyā, mātsarya, vihiṃsā, āhrīkya, and anapatrāpya—these ten are exclusively unwholesome.
