三、釋中二：先問、後答。初、問意云：既未至佛果，云何得知本有佛法？答意云：以佛果功德與此真性相應不離故也。就答中二：先釋初頌、二「復次」下釋後頌。前中亦二：先立理釋、後引教證。

Third, the explanation has two parts: first the question, then the answer. First, the question means: Since one has not yet reached the Buddha fruition, how can one know that one originally possesses the Buddha dharmas? The answer means: because the virtues of the Buddha fruition correspond to and are not separated from this true nature. In the answer are two parts: first, explaining the first verse; second, from "Furthermore..." onward, explaining the subsequent verse. In the former are also two parts: first, establishing the principle and explaining it; second, citing scriptural teachings to verify it.
