Second, regarding "It is spoken of thus...", citing scriptural teachings to establish proof cites the Anūnatvāpūrṇatvanirdeśa-sūtra as proof. Within it are three parts: first the doctrine, second the analogy, and third the application. In the doctrine, the phrase "The Buddha dharmas..." and so forth comprehensively adduces that the virtuous dharmas of the Buddhas are neither separated nor detached from the dharmakāya. Here, the meaning of the nature's virtues numerous as the sands of the Ganges is briefly explained through five gates: first, distinguishing the characteristics; second, defining the meaning; third, correspondence; fourth, activity; fifth, subsuming the fruition.
