五問：「智生、智了可名因明，二了、二生非智，應因非是明。」答：「是明之因。或皆順照，成宗義故。」

Fifth question: "Cognitive productive cause and cognitive illuminating cause may be called hetuvidyā; the other two illuminating causes and the other two productive causes are not cognition, so their reasons should not be illuminations." Answer: "Because they are causes of illumination. Or because all accordantly illuminate to establish the meaning of the thesis."
