第二、解題目者，梵云醯都費陀（次上二字並舌頭輕聲呼之）那耶鉢羅吠奢奢薩怛羅。醯都言因，費陀云明，那耶稱正理，鉢羅吠奢翻入，奢薩怛羅論也，唐云因明正理入論。今順此方言，稱《因明入正理論》。依此標名，合為五釋：

Second, as for explaining the title: in Sanskrit, it is said *hetu-vidyā-nyāya-praveśa-śāstra* (the two syllables above are both pronounced lightly at the tip of the tongue). *Hetu* is called cause; *vidyā* is called science; *nyāya* is termed correct principle; *praveśa* translates as entering; *śāstra* is treatise. In the Tang language, it is *Yinming zhengli ru lun*. Now following the local phrasing, it is called *Yinming ru zhengli lun* (Commentary on the Nyāyapraveśa). Based on this designated title, there are five interpretations in total:
