問：「喻上所立為依何法？若依能立，不應說因獨依有法，以因、喻二俱能立故。若依所立，如前已難。」答：「有二解。一云：因、喻雖俱能立，以隔因故。一云：依宗所立。」

Question: 'What property does the probandum on the example rely on? If it relies on the means of proof, one should not say that the reason solely relies on the subject, because both the reason and the example are means of proof. If it relies on the probandum, it has already been challenged as before.' Answer: 'There are two explanations. One says: although the reason and the example are both means of proof, it is because it is separated by the reason. Another says: it relies on the probandum of the thesis.'
