1.25

所言義者，隨事名義。雖體一味，而隨義萬差，然則體義不殊，無有一性，即是如故；而無不性，義差別故。此二即是極理體狀。

What is called "significance" (artha) is named in accordance with phenomena. Although the essence is of a single flavor, it differs in myriad ways according to its significance; yet the essence and its significance are not distinct. Since there is no single [fixed] nature, it is precisely thusness; and since there is no lack of natures, its meanings are differentiated. These two are the essential character of the ultimate principle.
