2.41

問曰：凡夫亦著諸法，何故偏名人著我執？釋言：細分亦著諸法。今對二乘，凡夫著我及著我所，通名人執。諸法皆是我所攝故。

Question: Pṛthagjanas are also attached to dharmas; why are they exclusively named as having the clinging of people attached to a self? Explanation: In a subtle analysis, they are also attached to dharmas. Now, in contrast to the two vehicles, pṛthagjanas are attached to the self and attached to what belongs to the self, so this is collectively called the clinging to a person, because all dharmas are subsumed under what belongs to the self.
