言「所起見愛熏習」者，根本無明所起見愛，熏其意識，起麁分別，是名分別事識。如上文云，意識現名分別事識，依見愛煩惱增長義故，言成就分別事識。

"Perfuming of the produced view and attachment" means that the view and attachment produced by fundamental avidyā perfume its manovijñāna, giving rise to coarse discrimination; this is called the consciousness that discriminates objects. As the preceding text says, the manovijñāna is currently named the consciousness that discriminates objects; because it increases depending on the afflictions of view and attachment, it says, "accomplishing the consciousness that discriminates objects."
