無明熏中，言「根本熏習」者，謂根本無明熏習真如，令其動念，是名業識，故言「成就業識義」也。

Within the perfuming of avidyā, "fundamental perfuming" means that fundamental avidyā perfumes tathatā, causing it to stir thought; this is called the karmic consciousness. Therefore it says: "the meaning of accomplishing the karmic consciousness."
