第三依名別釋中有三：先辨覺、次明不覺、後雙辨同異。初中覺者，約淨法明心生滅故。於中有二：先略辨始、本二覺，後「又覺心源」下，廣明二覺。初中有二：先本、後始。本中亦二：初顯本覺體，二「以何故」下，釋本覺名。

Part 3, the specific explanation relying on the names, has three sections: first, discerning enlightenment; next, explaining non-enlightenment; last, discerning both their identity and difference. In the first, "enlightenment" explains the mind as arising and ceasing with respect to pure dharmas. The innate also has two: first, revealing the substance of innate enlightenment; second, from "Why is this?" onward, explaining the name of innate enlightenment.
