3.284

五者、聞修多羅說依如來藏故有生死，依如來藏故得涅槃。以不解故，謂眾生有始。以見始故，復謂如來所得涅槃，有其終盡，還作眾生。

"Fifth, hearing sūtras say that saṃsāra exists by relying on the tathāgatagarbha, and that nirvāṇa is attained by relying on the tathāgatagarbha, because one does not understand, one claims that sentient beings have a beginning. Having posited a beginning, one further claims that the nirvāṇa attained by the Tathāgata has an end, and that one returns to becoming a sentient being."
