略說發心有三種。云何為三？一者、信成就發心；二者、解行發心；三者、證發心。
"Briefly stated, there are three kinds of generating the mind [for awakening]. What are the three? The first is the generation of mind through the completion of faith; the second is the generation of mind through understanding and practice; the third is the generation of mind through realization."
