列名中，信成就發心者，位在十住，兼取十信。十信位中修習信心成就，發決定心即入十住，十住初心，名發心住。即十信行滿，名信成就，進入十住之初，故云發心。解行發心者，位在十迴向，兼取十行，十行位中，能解法空，順行十度，行成純熟，發迴向心，入十向位，故云解行發心也。證發心者，位在初地已上乃至十地。前二是相似發心，後一是真實發心。

In listing the names: as for the generation of mind through the completion of faith, its rank is at the ten abodes, also encompassing the ten faiths. In the rank of the ten faiths, having cultivated and brought the mind of faith to completion, one generates a resolute mind and enters the ten abodes; the initial mind of the ten abodes is called the abode of generating the mind. Thus, the completion of the practice of the ten faiths is called completion of faith, and advancing to enter the beginning of the ten abodes is called generating the mind. As for the generation of mind through understanding and practice, its rank is at the ten dedications, also encompassing the ten practices. In the rank of the ten practices, being able to understand the emptiness of phenomena, one accords with and practices the ten perfections; when the practice is ripe and perfected, one generates the mind of dedication and enters the rank of the ten dedications; hence it is called generation of mind through understanding and practice. As for the generation of mind through realization, its rank is from the first ground onward up to the tenth ground. The first two are the generation of mind of semblance; the last one is the generation of mind of reality.
