或有供養諸佛未經一萬劫，於中遇緣亦有發心，所謂見佛色相而發其心；或因供養眾僧而發其心；或因二乘之人教令發心；或學他發心。

There may be those who make offerings to the buddhas without having passed through ten thousand kalpas, and in the midst of this they encounter conditions and also generate the mind: that is, generating their mind upon seeing the physical marks of the Buddha; or generating their mind on account of making offerings to the monastic saṅgha; or generating the mind because a person of the two vehicles instructs them to; or generating the mind by emulating others.
