二者、能止方便。謂慚愧悔過，能止一切惡法不令增長，以隨順法性，離諸過故。
The second is the skillful means capable of stopping. This means having shame and remorse and repenting errors, being capable of stopping all bad dharmas from increasing and growing, because of conforming to dharmatā and being free from all faults.
