○後得智勝用中有四：初請法上首德，有二句：初、正明請法；後、「唯為」下，顯其請意。二、「或示」下，明隨根延促德。有三：先促、次延，各有二：先舉用、後明意；後「能示如是」下，總結。

Under the superior functions of subsequently attained cognition there are four: first, the virtue of being the foremost in requesting the Dharma, which has two clauses: first, directly explaining requesting the Dharma; next, from 'merely to' onward, revealing the intention of the request. Second, from 'or display' onward, explaining the virtue of lengthening or shortening [time] according to capacities. It has three: first shortening, then lengthening, each having two: first stating the function, then explaining the intention; finally, from 'being able to display such' onward, the general conclusion.
