第十五、「分別發趣道」中，通論發心，總有四位：一、捨邪趣正發心，位在凡地。此論不說。二、捨退得定發心，位在十信滿心，入十住初，是論中信成就發心也。三、捨生得熟發心，位在十迴向，以欲入初地，加行勝進，深發心故，即解行發心。四、捨比得證發心，位在初地已上。

Fifteenth: In "Distinguishing the Aspiration to the Path," discussing the aspiration in general, there are four stages in all: 1. Abandoning the heterodox and approaching the orthodox aspiration, whose stage is on the level of ordinary beings; this treatise does not discuss it. 2. Abandoning retrogression and attaining determination aspiration, whose stage is at the fulfillment of the ten faiths, entering the beginning of the ten abodes; this is the aspiration of the perfection of faith in the treatise. 3. Abandoning the unripened and attaining the ripened aspiration, whose stage is in the ten dedications; because of desiring to enter the first bhūmi, through the superior progress of preparatory application, one deeply gives rise to the aspiration; this is the aspiration of understanding and practice. 4. Abandoning inference and attaining realization aspiration, whose stage is on the first bhūmi and above.
