10.18

初、問。疏　問意等者，前云：依如來藏故，有生滅心，仍說和合不相捨離。今生滅既滅，真亦合滅，如何却云滅相續心，顯現法身智淳淨耶？斯則約相即門，以相難性也。

First, the question. Commentary: Regarding 'the intent of the question...' and so forth: previously it was said: 'Relying on the tathāgatagarbha, there is the mind of arising and ceasing,' and it was also stated that they are combined and not separated from one another. Now that arising and ceasing have ceased, the true should also cease; why, then, does it conversely say that extinguishing the continuing mind reveals the pure dharmakāya and cognition? This is a challenge to the nature based on the marks, framed from the standpoint of identicalness.
