如纓下，二、引經證成。四住前使者，即無明使也。無法起者，意顯無明使外，別無有法為能起無明之本也。

"As the Ying[luo jing]..." Below, second: citing a sūtra to verify and establish it. The "messenger preceding the four entrenchments" is the messenger of avidyā. "No dharma can arise [prior]" is meant to reveal that outside the messenger of avidyā, there is no other dharma that could serve as the basis for giving rise to avidyā.
