Second, the reward [body], in three parts: first, the inferior perception in parts on the stages of abiding, which has four [sections]: first, clarifying the shallowness and depth of the viewing capacity. The treatise says: "Partially seeing" means clarifying the partial perception of the function of the reward body. Because this bodhisattva, by the power of deep faith, enters the samādhi of tathatā and is able to know the single mark of the dharmadhātu, regarding the reward body seen, they know the body has no marks of coming, going, or delimiters. Therefore, the later translation says: "A bodhisattva of initial practice sees the middling function." The commentary says: "Seeing the principle of tathatā" means that because they enter the semblance contemplation and see the true principle, they consequently see that the reward marks have no coming or going, being mere reflection-manifestations of mind, not separate from tathatā.
