19.63

攝護中，疏　以修等者，略同《金剛》所說，持經之者為如來知見護念等。如王世子修德進業，堪紹國位，特為君之所寶也。為佛所念，理合如此，故云法應。

Regarding protection, the commentary's "Because of cultivating, etc.": This is roughly the same as what is said in the *Vajracchedikā*, that one who upholds the sūtra is known, seen, and protected by the Tathāgata. Just as when a prince cultivates virtue and advances his endeavors, being capable of succeeding to the realm, he is especially treasured by the ruler. Being remembered by the Buddha is by principle fitting to be like this, hence it says "dharma-responsive."
