二、以一下，釋今文，意三：初、總標意。含通別者，釋前文意也。前文以二門未啟，但約一心通總包含而說，故云攝，不言各也。今分下，標今意，謂今文中二門既開，每門之中皆各自攝一切法也。若無標揀，將謂二門共攝一切，則有攝法不盡之過，故言皆各也。

Second, from "Because the One..." onward, explains the present text; the meaning has three parts: first, generally indicating the intention. "Containing the shared and the distinct" explains the intention of the preceding text. In the preceding text, because the two gates had not yet been opened, it spoke only in terms of the One Mind generally and comprehensively subsuming [all dharmas]; therefore it said "subsumes," without saying "each." "Now divided..." onward indicates the present intention, meaning that in the present text, since the two gates have already been opened, within each gate each separately subsumes all dharmas. If there were no explicit distinction, one might suppose that the two gates jointly subsume all dharmas, which would incur the fault of not subsuming dharmas exhaustively; therefore it says "all each."
