Regarding the commentary's "since it is" and what follows: the principle of the dharmakāya is universally acknowledged across the teachings of the three vehicles as unarisen and unceasing, an inherently existing dharma. Since this dharma is designated as enlightenment, it can indeed be called "original". Regarding "Asaṅga (Wuxing)" and what follows: citing proof. Original enlightenment is precisely the meaning of the dharmakāya. Because in this school principle and wisdom are not distinct—the wisdom that is identical with principle is named original enlightenment, and the principle that is identical with wisdom is named dharmakāya. Just as a gem is identical with its brilliance, they are non-dual and indistinct, unlike the provisional schools that distinguish between the conditioned and the unconditioned.
