In the antidote of the sixth [section], Treatise: "The bodhisattva's exhausting the bhūmis" means the bodhisattva's ultimate bhūmi. As it previously said: "up to the bodhisattva's ultimate bhūmi." Many editions read "bhūmis exhausted"; there is also sense in that, but it is not as smooth in meaning as having the word "bhūmi" at the bottom, because both before and after it concludes saying "bhūmi." This is precisely the tenth bhūmi, and the Tathāgata is wondrous enlightenment; thus, contemplation and severing proceed from the ninth bhūmi, and are exhausted only at the Buddha bhūmi. The Immaculate Bhūmi is precisely the Tathāgata bhūmi, having no difference at all from the final mind of the tenth bhūmi. However, in the *Benye jing*, equal enlightenment itself is the Immaculate Bhūmi, which is distinguished separately; what is explained here combines the two—equal and wondrous enlightenment—into a single stage.
