Second, the dependent retribution. [Commentary] 'That which relies and so forth' means that the dependent and primary retributions correspond to each other, because both are vast and great. For a body of boundless merit to abide in a land of measureless adornments is appropriate. The marks of adornment are fully present in the various sūtras, and cannot all be cited. *Sphaṭika* is translated here as 'water-jade' or 'water-pearl.'
