Second, actualized enlightenment. Regarding the commentary's "clarifying the arising" and what follows: directly clarifying actualized enlightenment. Although the text comes afterward, when tracing back to its source, it originally derives from original enlightenment. Only due to delusion regarding original enlightenment do deluded thoughts exist, and deluded thoughts are precisely non-enlightenment. Thus, as previously stated, relying on the tathāgatagarbha there is the arising-and-ceasing mind, and later, relying on enlightenment there is delusion and so forth, just as relying on an awake person there is a sleeping person.
