問：何故真如門直云體，生滅門云自體等？答：所示三大義，還在能示生滅中顯，故云自也。

Question: Why does the aspect of tathatā simply say "essence," whereas the aspect of arising and ceasing says "its own essence," and so forth? Answer: The three greatnesses demonstrated are revealed precisely within the arising and ceasing that can demonstrate them, hence it says "its own."
