問：是不起故但示體者，起動門唯示用？答：不起必不由起立，不起故唯示體也。起必由不起，起含不起，故起中具三大也。

Question: If, because it is non-arising, it only demonstrates essence, does the gate of active arising only demonstrate function? Answer: Non-arising definitely does not depend on arising to be established; being non-arising, it only demonstrates essence. Arising definitely depends on non-arising; arising contains non-arising, so within arising the three greatnesses are fully present.
