2.29

「迦葉身自事三火，明旦燃之，又不可燃。心念：『復是大沙門所為也。』即行問佛：『我自事三火，今旦燃之，了不可燃。續是大道人所為耶？』

"Kāśyapa himself tended three fires, and when he kindled them the next morning, they too could not be lit. He thought to himself: 'This has again been done by that great śramaṇa.' He immediately went and asked the Buddha: 'I tend three fires myself, yet when I kindled them this morning, they could not be lit at all. Was this again done by the Great Man of the Way?'
