4.16

妄境本唯心現，由不了故還熏於心。一增長分別熏，即助界內、界外見惑。二增長執取熏，唯助界內思惑。若助界內見思，令諸凡夫不出生死；若助界外見惑，令二乘人速求涅槃。

Deluded objective realms originally manifest solely from mind; because of not understanding this, they perfume back upon the mind. First, perfuming that increases discrimination assists the delusions of view within and beyond the realms. Second, perfuming that increases grasping assists solely the delusions of thought within the realms. If they assist view and thought within the realms, they cause ordinary beings not to escape birth and death; if they assist delusions of view beyond the realms, they cause persons of the two vehicles to swiftly seek nirvāṇa.
