12.91

次就地論。地謂欲界乃至非想。依《毘婆娑》，此六欲界、未來、中間、二禪、三禪，方便道攝。於中別分，數隨二行在於欲界、未來、中間、二禪、三禪方便道攝，止觀還淨在一切地方便道攝，諸地皆有止觀還淨四種義故（此四門竟）。

Next, discussing them in terms of levels: "levels" refers to [the stages from] the desire realm up to [the sphere of] neither-perception-nor-non-perception. According to the *Vibhāṣā*, these six are subsumed under the preparatory paths of the desire realm, the future [dhyāna], the intermediate [dhyāna], the second dhyāna, and the third dhyāna. Differentiating among them: the two practices of counting and following are subsumed under the preparatory paths of the desire realm, the future [dhyāna], the intermediate [dhyāna], the second dhyāna, and the third dhyāna; while stopping, observing, turning, and purifying are subsumed under the preparatory paths of all levels, because all levels possess the four aspects of stopping, observing, turning, and purifying (this concludes the fourth section).
