次明起說因緣之相。六句辨之：一明說時，文中不辨，准依《地經》，當應亦在第二七日。二明說處，在兜率天，一切寶莊嚴殿。三明說人，金剛幢菩薩之所宣說。四明說人所入三昧，入菩薩明智三昧。五明加人，十方各過百萬佛剎塵數界外，各有百萬佛剎塵數諸佛，同名金剛幢，相與加被。六明證人，十方各過百萬佛剎塵數界外，各有百萬佛剎塵數菩薩，同名金剛幢，雲集作證。迴向義廣難以具論，今隨宗要辨之略爾。

Next, to clarify the characteristics of the causal conditions for initiating the exposition. It is distinguished in six clauses: First, clarifying the time of exposition: although not distinguished in the text, based on the Daśabhūmika Sūtra, it should also be on the second seventh day. Second, clarifying the place of exposition: in the Tuṣita Heaven, in the palace adorned with all jewels. Third, clarifying the person expounding: it was proclaimed by the Bodhisattva Vajradhvaja. Fourth, clarifying the samādhi entered by the expounder: entering the Bodhisattva Bright Wisdom Samādhi. Fifth, clarifying those who bestowed empowerment: in each of the ten directions, beyond worlds as numerous as the dust particles of a million Buddha-lands, there were Buddhas as numerous as the dust particles of a million Buddha-lands, all named Vajradhvaja, who jointly bestowed empowerment. Sixth, clarifying the witnesses: in each of the ten directions, beyond worlds as numerous as the dust particles of a million Buddha-lands, there were bodhisattvas as numerous as the dust particles of a million Buddha-lands, all named Vajradhvaja, who gathered like clouds to bear witness. The meaning of dedication is broad and difficult to treat exhaustively; now it has been briefly distinguished in accordance with the essential tenets.
