次明大小治障不同。聲聞所修，唯斷四住，不能窮盡；菩薩所行，五住通斷，兼息緣治，以深廣故（此十門竟）。

Next, clarifying differences between the Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna in counteracting obstacles: what the śrāvaka cultivates only severs the four entrenchments and cannot exhaustively eliminate them; what the bodhisattva practices severs all five entrenchments throughout and additionally calms the conditioning-based antidote, because it is deep and expansive.
