20.70

次第三門明相好因。具三無量能生相好。如《地持》說：一劫無量，亦得名為時無量也。種性已上，三阿僧祇大劫修行，故生相好。二心無量，安樂饒益一切眾生，故生相好。三行無量，一切善業無不備修，故生相好（此三門竟）。

Next, the third section clarifies the causes of the marks and signs. Endowed with three measurelessnesses, they are able to produce the marks and signs. As the Bodhisattvabhūmi states: First, the measurelessness of kalpas, which can also be named the measurelessness of time: from the disposition stage onward, practicing throughout three incalculable great kalpas, one therefore produces the marks and signs. Second, the measurelessness of mind: bringing peace, happiness, and benefit to all sentient beings, one therefore produces the marks and signs. Third, the measurelessness of practice: fully cultivating every wholesome karma without exception, one therefore produces the marks and signs. (Here ends the third section.)
