In the seventh section, distinguishing differences with respect to persons. There are three distinct types of persons: first, ordinary persons; second, śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas; third, bodhisattvas. As persons are distinct, what they know also differs. Ordinary persons with respect to this only know the facts and do not penetrate other meanings. The two vehicles with respect to this only know that things exist dependently through conventional designations without having a fixed intrinsic nature, but do not exhaust their reality. Bodhisattvas know that this is neither existent nor nonexistent, illusory dependent origination, devoid of any fixed characteristic. The meaning of the ten causes is briefly distinguished as such.
