若經若論皆是引悟眾生之典，而經說去、論言住，兩言在文實異。然經本破常，物不必去；論本顯真，物不必留。所以云一會，在旨不乖。

Both the sūtras and the treatises are texts that guide and awaken sentient beings. The sūtras speak of departing, while the treatise speaks of abiding: the two statements are indeed different in the letter. Yet the sūtras fundamentally shatter permanence, so things do not necessarily depart; the treatise fundamentally reveals the real, so things do not necessarily remain. Therefore it is said that they share a single convergence, without contradiction in purport.
