上人以悟發之器而遘（遇）茲淵（深）對，想開究之功足以盡過半之思，故以每惟乖（差）闊（遠），憤愧何深。

You, Superior One, with a capacity wherein understanding blooms, have encountered this profound dialogue partner; I imagine that your effort in uncovering and investigating is sufficient to exhaust more than half of one's thoughts. Thus, whenever I reflect on our separation and distance, how deep are my distress and shame!
