君既遂嘉（善）遁（隱）之志、標越俗之美，獨恬事（物）外、歡足（滿）方寸，每一言集，何嘗不遠喻（曉）？林下之雅詠，高致（趣）悠（遠）然，清散未期，厚自保愛。每因行李，數有承問。

You, sir, have already fulfilled your aspiration for an auspicious retirement, displaying the virtue of transcending the mundane world, serenely standing alone beyond worldly affairs, with joy filling your heart. At every gathering where words were exchanged, when did you not make distant things understood? Your elegant recitations from beneath the forest groves are exalted in aim and remote; though our clear leisure cannot yet be appointed, please take deep care of yourself. Frequently, by means of travelers, I have repeatedly received your inquiries.
