什法師以午年出《維摩經》，貧道時預聽次。參承之暇，輒復條記成言（絕句）以為注解。辭雖不文，然義承有本。今因信持一本往南，君閑詳（絕句）試可取看。

Master Kumārajīva translated the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa in the wuwu year, and this impoverished monk was fortunate enough to attend the lectures. In the leisure between receiving his instruction, I then categorized and recorded his established words to serve as a commentary. Although the phrasing is unpolished, the meaning received has an authentic origin. Now, through a messenger, I send one copy to the south; at your leisure, please examine it and perhaps take a look.
