來問婉（美）切（當），難為郢人。貧道思不關微，兼拙於筆語。且至趣無言，言必乖趣，云云不已（止）竟何所辨？聊以狂言示酬來旨耳。

Your inquiry is graceful and trenchant, hard to match like the man of Ying. This impoverished monk's thoughts do not penetrate the subtle, and I am moreover clumsy in written expression. Furthermore, the utmost purport is wordless; words inevitably deviate from the purport. If chatter does not cease, what after all can be clarified? I merely offer wild words to reply to your incoming aim.
