初句承前妄心有有，以顯聖心非緣有而有，故不有有。躡此三字，展轉釋成非有非無、中道莫寄。至虛至寂之心，文相可解。

The first line inherits the preceding deluded mind that "takes being as being," in order to show that the sage mind is not existent through conditioned being, and therefore does not take being as being. Following on these four characters, it progressively explains the neither-being nor non-being wherein the Middle Way finds no resting place. For the utmost empty and utmost silent mind, the textual meaning can be understood.
