故聖心不有有，不有有故（躡上），有無有（非有）。有無有故，則無無（非無）。無無故，聖心不有不無。不有不無，其神乃虛。

"Therefore, the sage mind does not take being as being. Because it does not take being as being (following from the above), it has no being (is not being). Because it has no being, it has no non-being (is not non-being). Because it has no non-being, the sage mind is neither being nor non-being. Being neither being nor non-being, its spirit is thereby empty."
